The
Stomp follows the old tradition of stomping
grapes by foot…it’s great fun
to get your Lucille Ball on and even compete
against family and friends. We’ll kick
off the stomping with a “Stomp Off”
between local Mayors. Then the line forms
on the right!
Also,
this year we are proud to again feature a
concert by Robbin Thompson, the Virginia-based
songwriter/singer. Robbin was formerly lead
singer for Bruce Springsteen’s band
Steel Mill, won the American Song Festival
twice and has recorded 12 albums. He co-authored
Sweet Virginia Breeze, the unofficial song
of Virginia. Check Robbin out at his website,
www.robbinthompson.com.
Note:
Bring blanket or chairs – no coolers
please. Concert begins at 6:00 p.m.
In
addition, check out these wonderful activities:
-
Wings Over Washington Kite Club.
You’ll see an exciting exhibition
of kite flying to music and plenty of spectacular
kites on display. There’ll also be
a kite building workshop where you can create
your own kite for $5.00.
-
West Point Sky Diving Adventures.
These crazies will jump from several thousand
feet and land on a small target…just
to win Meteor wine. www.skydivewestpoint.com.
-
All Dog Adventures will be putting
on a dog agility and obedience demonstration
that will amaze and delight the whole family
with jumps, tunnels and tricks. www.alldogadventures.com
-
Plus there’ll be hay rides, face
painting, a petting zoo, and of course,
stomping contests for the whole family.
-
Sandwiches, drinks and plenty of snacks
will be available for purchase. And, of
course, White Fences’ own award-winning
Meteor wines will be on sale.
